DIY kids Craft – 3 Amazing decorative children’s bedroom crafts…with Celeste!
Hello hello!
Welcome back to DIY kids, Langmobile’s monthly curated collection of the top projects loved by parents, children, and educators!
Everything on the list have two things in common: They are the highest regarded in their selected categories, and they’re based on a popular theme. All of them can be used as a jumping off point to teach new vocabulary words in English!
This month we’re DIY-ing decorative children’s bedroom crafts so fun they make kids look forward to playing in their rooms!
1. Most environmentally friendly: DIY yarn wrapped cardboard initial signs
Kids of all ages like to add things to their door with things that make their room reflect who they are. This craft uses yarn and recycles cardboard, and leaves plenty of room for personalization! I suggest going through the sewing drawer and gathering all of the leftover scraps of yarn, pom poms, and buttons that have found their way to the bottom to make the most of this project!
Materials needed:
- Cardboard
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Tape or glue
- Optional: Yarn scraps
- Optional: Buttons
- Optional: Pom poms
2. Most time efficient: No sew lion pillows
These lion pillows would be such a cute addition to a kids bedroom! Once some fleece is cut it’s as simple as stuffing, tying, and adding a funny face. Get creative, and use different colored fleece to make a bedroom zoo!
Materials needed:
- Fleece
- Stuffing
- Scissors
- Liquid glue
- Googly eyes
- Black sharpy
3. Most aesthetic: DIY glow in the dark fairy light
Does “I need some water” or “One more bedtime story” sound familiar? When it’s time to turn out the lights something always seems to come up. I love these fairy lights because they’re so soothing and pretty in the dark! You could add glitter for some added sparkle as well!
Materials needed:
- Mason jar
- Glow-in-the-dark paint
- 2 paint brushes
- Optional: Glitter
- Optional: White glue
