Without further ado, let’s get to it!

Ingredients:

  • 4 apples of your choice

Caramel Sauce

  • ½ Cup of heavy cream (140ml)
  • ⅓ Cup of maple syrup (80 ml)
  • ½ Cup of brown sugar (120 grams)
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons of room temperature butter (18 grams)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Melted Chocolate:

  • ½ Cup of your chocolate of choice

Optional Toppings:

  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Mini white chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles
  • Mini M&Ms
  • Mini Reese’s Pieces
  • Mini butterscotch chips
  • Chopped peanuts

Caramel Sauce Recipe:

  1. Combine heavy cream, maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the butter is melted.
  2. Place a candy thermometer in the caramel, ensuring the bulb is not touching the bottom of the pan. Leave the caramel to cook and bubble without stirring until the thermometer reads 235° F, around 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from the burner and allow to cool for 10- 15 minutes.

Chocolate Sauce Recipe:

  1. Place a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water so the bowl is sitting above but not touching the water.
  2.  Add your chocolate of choice to the heatproof bowl and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat and repeat these steps with any other desired types of chocolate (I chose white chocolate, milk chocolate and caramel).

Now you’re all set! All that is left is to follow these steps:

  1. Slice apples into manageable-sized pieces. I usually do 12 slices for medium to large-size apples.
  2. Cover a baking tray with parchment or wax paper
  3. Arrange sliced apples on the pan as you desire.
  4. Use a large spoon or small ladle to drizzle your chosen sauces over your apples.

Suggestion: I like to divide my tray into four sections, covering one section with caramel sauce, one with melted milk chocolate, one with dark chocolate and one with white chocolate.

  5. Add any additional topping to your apples, like mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, mini-M&M’s, mini–Reese’s Pieces, mini butterscotch chips, or chopped peanuts.Note that toppings can be organic options as well! Add different fruits, nuts, yogurts, anything you like!

  6. Let the apples sit for 5 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

We hope you enjoyed this recipe! Sometimes, it’s  important to treat ourselves! Make sure to save these apples for special occasions!
