3 Fun Family-Friendly Festivals Happening in Montreal this Coming Summer!
Montreal festivals are a great way to spend quality family time together outside. Since Montreal has so many amazing opportunities to keep track of, here are three family-friendly events happening in Montreal this coming summer! The earlier to plan, the better!
In the summer, Montreal becomes a vibrant city with various activities to choose from. With so many festivals happening all summer, it is hard to keep track of all the fun. So, here are three happening in Montreal this summer that you and your whole family will enjoy!

Montreal Comic Arts
Location: Saint-Denis Street, between Gilford and Roy, Montreal (Outdoor).
Date: Friday, May 24th to 26th, from 12 pm to 8 pm.
Cost: Free!Comic Arts will include over a 1 km stretch of tents with exhibitions, activities, and meetings. This comic festival also will have over 250 comic artists and 160 exhibitors in attendance and will be a bilingual event!

Mural Festival
Location: Saint-Laurent Blvd between Sherbrooke Street and du Mont-Royal Avenue Montréal, QC (Outdoor).
Date: Early June 2024!
Cost: Free!The 2024 Montreal mural is the 12th edition and will include over 80 mural installations. Walk the streets for free, admiring various artists painting live. This festival also includes food trucks and dance celebrations!

Montreal Cirque Festival
Location: Quartier Latin Montréal, QC (Outdoor).
Date: July 4 to 14, 2024
Cost: Free, with some activities costing money.This 11-day outdoor celebration brings the circus to the streets of Montreal. Walk around Quartier Latin and watch as the streets become stages for the circus performers doing colorful performances and death-defying stunts!
It is important to take the time to appreciate the wonderful city we find ourselves in. Montreal is home to so many celebrations from different cultures & can appeal to everyone! While we didn’t include other important ones, make sure to read up on what events are happening in 2024.
These are opportunities for our children to learn more about the world around them & get comfortable in the city! There will surely be core memories made as they dive into the celebration that we share! It is also a great chance to practice a different language, as so many different people will be present!
