A New Exciting Plateau Summer Camp Location 2026: Langmobile at Bancroft Elementary School
We are happy to share exciting news for Langmobile families: in Summer 2026, Langmobile is adding a new Plateau summer camp location at Bancroft Elementary School.
This new Plateau location will allow children to enjoy Langmobile’s English immersion experience in one of Montreal’s most vibrant and family-friendly neighborhoods.
Located in the Plateau neighborhood at 4563 Saint-Urbain Street, the Bancroft Elementary location expands our summer camp program and provides a welcoming environment where children can learn English through play, creativity, and discovery. At Langmobile, English is not just a subject — it becomes part of everyday life through games, projects, teamwork, and meaningful interactions.
Children aged 5 to 12 spend their days exploring English in a natural and supportive environment where confidence grows alongside friendships. Each week features engaging themes and activities designed to keep children curious and motivated throughout the summer.
But one of the things that makes this new Plateau location especially exciting is the neighborhood itself.
The Plateau is one of Montreal’s most lively and walkable areas — full of parks, cultural spaces, and family-friendly spots that make summer even more enjoyable. Whether before camp, after pickup, or on weekends, families will find many wonderful places nearby to explore together.
Parks and Outdoor Adventures Nearby
One of the greatest advantages of the Plateau is the easy access to beautiful green spaces where children can play and recharge after a day of learning.
Parc La Fontaine is one of the largest and most popular parks in the neighborhood, offering playgrounds, ponds, bike paths, and wide open spaces for picnics and games. The park features sports fields, tennis courts, walking paths, and splash areas that make it a perfect summer destination for families.
During the warmer months, families can enjoy the park’s shaded areas and observe birds around the ponds, while cultural events and performances often take place throughout the season.
Another nearby option is Parc Jeanne-Mance, a large urban park located at the foot of Mount Royal. With open fields and plenty of space to run and play, it is ideal for sports, family outings, or simply relaxing outdoors.
These green spaces make it easy for children to balance learning with physical activity and outdoor exploration — an important part of a healthy and joyful summer.
Theatre, Music and Cultural Discoveries
The Plateau is not only full of parks — it is also a neighborhood rich in arts and culture.
One special place families can enjoy during the summer is the Théâtre de Verdure, an outdoor amphitheater located in Parc La Fontaine. Throughout the summer season, the theatre offers free performances including music, dance, circus shows, films, and theatre productions, making it a wonderful cultural experience for children and parents alike.
These outdoor performances are relaxed and welcoming, making them especially suitable for families with young children.
Walking through the Plateau itself can also feel like a cultural adventure. The neighborhood is known for its colorful streets, murals, cafés, and artistic atmosphere, turning simple walks into moments of discovery for children.
Quiet Learning Spaces
For families who enjoy quieter activities, the Bibliothèque Mordecai-Richler is a beautiful and welcoming place to visit with children.
Located in a historic building, the library offers a large collection of children’s books, activity spaces, and community events. Families can borrow books and enjoy reading together in a calm and inspiring environment.
Libraries are wonderful places for children to continue learning during the summer while developing a love of reading — especially in English.
Sweet Treats and Family Stops
Exploring the Plateau with children almost always includes a stop for a snack — and the neighborhoods offers many kid-approved options.
Families can enjoy cafés, bakeries, and local restaurants along the Plateau’s lively streets, making it easy to turn pickup time into a small outing together.
One popular ice cream stop in the nearby Mile End area is Kem CoBa, known for its creative flavors and refreshing summer treats — a perfect reward after a day at camp.
Even a simple walk for an ice cream or a cold drink can become a special moment for children, especially during warm summer afternoons.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Langmobile, we believe that language learning happens everywhere — not only inside the classroom.
A visit to the park, a walk through the neighborhood, or a stop for ice cream can become opportunities for children to practice English naturally in real-life situations.
The Plateau is the perfect setting for this kind of everyday learning. Its welcoming atmosphere encourages curiosity, conversation, and exploration — all essential parts of language development.
A Summer to Remember
Adding Bancroft Elementary as a Plateau summer camp location allows Langmobile to welcome more families while maintaining the warm and supportive environment that defines our programs.
Children will spend their days learning, playing, and building confidence in English — and families will discover a neighborhood full of opportunities for connection and adventure.
We are excited to welcome new and returning campers to Langmobile Plateau Summer Camps at Bancroft Elementary in Summer 2026.
A summer filled with English, friendship, exploration, and discovery is waiting — and we cannot wait to share it with you.
